It is important to understand our biblical bases of the believers identity in Christ.
The bible is clear about our position and identity in Christ.

Do you need to know about how to be sure of your identity?

The first step to walk in this new identity is to know the one and true savior, Jesus Christ.

The Problem

Romans 5:12 says Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—
Isaiah 53:6 says "...All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Problem- Mankind sinned against a Holy God.

The Penalty

God has pronounced that the penalty of sin is spiritual death and separation from God in a place of judgment called hell: “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Jesus clearly taught that sinners were condemned in sin and would perish and go to hell if they didn't believe in Him as their Savior (John 3:16-18).

Penalty - Death and separation from God

The Plan

Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
Romans 8:3-For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh..
The Plan- God provided Himself to be our substitute through His son.

The Promise

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 3:16- .. That all who believe in Him shall not die forever but will have eternal life.

2 Peter 1:4 For those who are in a relationship with God, whom he deems his people and children, he also gives them great and precious promises .

The Promise- Now that we have Jesus in us, we have the promise of eternal life with Him forever.
